Volkswagen and Minecorp began working together more than six months ago, a relationship that was forged in the pursuit of excellence. Identifying a gap in the market in Australia, Volkswagen worked with Minecorp to develop specific light vehicle safety products for the new Amarok Ute.

Minecorp, a leader in mine site light vehicle safety, was a clear choice for Volkswagen when it came to identifying a partner to help them gain a share of the mining/light vehicle market. Working with the dedicated Minecorp research and development team, Volkswagen was able to specifically identify the specifications needed for their vehicle. This ensured the vehicle was fitted out with the highest quality products and met the standards of mine sites across Australia.

Over a three month period the Minecorp team worked on developing superior products and fitting out the vehicle. This included fitting ROPS, conducting finite analysis tests and ensuing ADR compliance testing on air bags were undertaken.
